It is the responsibility of the Event Organiser
to ensure that Health and Safety guidelines are
adhered to. If in doubt, they should consult their
local Health and Safety Officer for appropriate
advice.
Amongst other things, the Event Organiser must
ensure that
the Arena perimeter is secured according to the
requirements of the Artiste(s) booked. Some Acts,
particularly high-speed vehicle and equestrian
Acts require barriers to certain specific minimum
requirements. Others require post and rope. Please
contact Temples to obtain more information.
Experience has taught us that posts with
tape (instead of rope) is frequently inadequate
as the children tend to stretch the tape by pulling
or standing on it and it frequently disintegrates,
resulting in no clearly defined Arena. Safety
on a Showground is very important. Consult your
Health and Safety Officer for advice
there is adequate marshalling of the Artiste and
his vehicle and or animals in to and out of the
Arena, before and after each performance, if the
holding area for the Artiste(s) does not have
direct access to the performance Arena.
The majority of the Arena Acts and Displays expect:
that the Arena and its perimeter should comply
with Health and Safety requirements
an adequate sound system, complete with radio
microphone(s) and CD/tape cassette/mini-disc facilities
unless stated otherwise on the relevant contract.
Please note that there may be variances in the
personnel, dress and/or equipment shown in the
photographs. This should not affect the quality
of the presentation.
